Science and studies

Two studies. Five patents. One nerve.

Everything on this page is taken from nogag.com and the published NoGag materials. NoGag is a food substance that aids swallowing. It is not a drug and makes no therapeutic claim.

How it works

NoGag is a patented 0.5 g formula in a single-use pouch. Poured on the tip of the tongue for about 10 seconds, it engages the glossopharyngeal nerve ("Nerve 9") in the soft palate, the nerve that fires the gag reflex, and the reflex stands down for up to an hour. It is non-numbing: the vocal cords and swallowing are untouched.
